FRIENDSFEST

The original idea was a brand new experiential event for Comedy Central, launched in London in order to bring the show to life for fans by recreating the set of Monica's iconic apartment. The first event sold out in 13 minutes and five years and five countries later, it grew into a multi-million pound, global commercial partnership between Comedy Central, Luna Cinema and Warner Bros.; featuring full-scale recreations of the sets of Monica's apartment, Joey and Chandler's apartment, Ross's apartment and Central Perk, as well as interactive photo ops for Pivot-ing the Sofa, Recreating the Titles, the Las Vegas Chapel of Love, the High School Prom, the Floating Heads, themed food and drink, merchandise and much more.

I was Lead Creative, responsible for creating all the on-site branding and icons, overseeing the sourcing of the props and the set builds; ensuring that everything was recreated with incredible attention to detail and accuracy so fans and celebrity guests had everything they needed to completely immerse themselves in their favourite show.

For on-air we tied the channel to the live event with multiple stunts and episodic-specific programming, for which I created numerous trailers and deliverables - including channel furniture (featuring the one-and-only Janice), idents and break bumpers and directed ‘Gogglebox’-style short form content for the channel.
